  • Somebody who has developed a successful (in terms of impact and reach) enterprise in the sector.

Judging Procedure

  • After the applications, the technical committee of the Creative Entrepreneurs Association of Nigeria will read through each application.
  • Ineligible applications will be immediately discarded as will applications which are incomplete (for example those where no referee is provided).
  • Eligible applications will be considered in detail, with particular emphasis being placed on the applicant’s achievements in, and vision for the Nigerian creative industry and from these applications a shortlist of up to five applicants will be compiled in each subsector.
  • This five will be announced as nominees for each category.

 Judging criteria

The Creative Industries Award is unique in rewarding entrepreneurial ability. We recognize that a finalist may be active in the creative process, but this should be secondary to their focus as an entrepreneur in the promotion of their creative sector in Nigeria. Artistic talent will not be factored into the judging procedure – finalists will be judged solely on the merit of their entrepreneurial abilities in the industry.
